I found the most kicking library ever today. It’s a couple towns over from me and they have an AMAZING selection of…well, everything. Within the first 10 minutes of being in there I discovered that they had Frank Turner’s “Poetry of the Deed”, The Gaslight Anthem’s “American Slang”, 3 Garage albums, Uh Huh Her, and Them Crooked Vultures. I have the Frank Turner album, so I picked up “American Slang” and Them Crooked Vultures. They have 3 HUGE shelves devoted solely to comics and graphic novels, which I picked up Brightest Day/Blackest Night. They also had a large poster of Neil Gaiman with questionable facial hair, but it’s Neil Gaiman so it doesn’t matter. Their collection of movies was pretty damn eclectic. A lot of foreign and independent films. They also had the two John Green books I’ve been trying to get a hold of for eons. I also picked up another book about a young, Jewish, lesbian MC that looks pretty interesting. It’s kinda weird because the building is so much smaller than the one in my town, but they have a larger selection of everything. The library in my town expanded quite a bit, but they just added more computers and more walking space, they didn’t add any new selections of anything. And their graphic comic selection is abysmal. I can’t wait to go back to the other library and see what else I stumble across. "Let’s go back and let’s see the way things really used to be, not the way we remember them at all. All the best things about you and I before the doubts drowned out all of the mirth and mercy. Come on baby, please, you must remember. Please remember."

Watching this video game me some sort of weird anxiety attack. I’m so proud of him, I can barely quantify it. (Source: valderie) — Frank Turner in Less Than a Week!
I still can’t believe I’m going, even though I have the tickets in my hand. I’m getting nervous as all hell. |

I am a horny humanistic misanthrope. I'm pro-choice, an atheist, and believes that bigotry and hate need to be blasted off the planet, presumably in a rocket of some kind. I like writing, collecting comic books, and collecting blank notebooks and journals. This blog is sometimes NSFW.
Reading is everything to me. I love books and I buy them without regret and without remorse. To me, reading is the key to everything. It doesn't matter if you read science fiction, essays, biographies; as long as you read.
Frank Turner is currently jeopardizing my life. Mark Twain soothes my soul. I'm not a Whovian, but I have a passing fancy in Doctor Who. Supernatural is my Achilles heel. James Dean makes my soul weep. Neil Gaiman gives me hope. Amanda Palmer helps me sing. Henry Rollins makes me think I can do anything. Dean Winchester jump starts my libido.
